Riley's Mother
Needs Your Help!
Lisa Riley former Director at Council on Aging needs the help of the African descent community to help her mother.
Riley's mother, 63, is a "vibrant" and "vivacious" woman, but has been disabled by kidney dialysis treatments (3 times a week) due to kidney failure over two years ago. This was brought on by adult onset diabetes requiring daily insulin injections for over 5 years.
She is on the Kidney Transplant list, but has been informed that she will not be eligible for a kidney transplant for another 5 years. Many African Americans never see a kidney transplant!
Riley would truly appreciated her mother receiving the gift of a new kidney. A new kidney would allow her the ability to function for a few more years without trips to the dialysis center (3 days a week) tubes in her arms, and regular trips to the hospital and doctors office.
If you are a type O positive, and healthy please contact Riley for more details and information. Lisa Riley can be emailed at antonia38@juno.com.
